GALA – 19 AUGUST 2006

What a great day! Once again the gala went well – bungee runs and bucking bronco’s, donkey rides and Punch and Judy shows – it was all there. Despite a poor weather forecast, the rain held off until the evening and everybody enjoyed a fine and warm afternoon. All proceeds for the event are to be sent to the Chairmans’ chosen charity Breast Cancer Research Unit at the University of Leicester and the Council is pleased that a cheque for £750 will be winging its way there shortly.

Entertainment for the evening was provided by Fosse Swing Band in the Glen Parva War Memorial Hall. Thanks to everyone who supported this event.
